SAN DIEGO – On August 30, 2012, Memorial University Medical Center and Novant Health, Inc. announced a new strategic partnership, including a shared services agreement and future growth initiatives. Both Memorial and Novant will remain independent and retain local ownership and governance. The alliance is expected to provide improved infrastructure and efficiencies for Memorial in several areas, including supply chain and clinical engineering, access to resources, and best practice collaboration. Leaders at both organizations expect the partnership to produce improved patient care, expanded access, and reduced costs.
