posted on November 29, 2012
NEW YORK – Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC (H2C), a financial advisory and investment banking firm for the healthcare industry, today announced the addition of Barbara Z. Shattuck as a Principal in the New York office.
Ms. Shattuck’s role at Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC will be to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate restructurings. She is a distinguished financial advisor and healthcare investment banking specialist who will draw on her extensive experience to help healthcare clients develop innovative strategies to meet their financial needs.
“We are very excited to have Barbara join Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC,” said Michael Hammond, Principal at H2C. “Given the turmoil and change affecting our clients, as health care reform impacts all aspects of their business, what will distinguish investment banking and strategic advisory firms is the judgment of the professionals. We are fortunate to add Barbara and her experience to the H2C team. Our clients will benefit from her experience and judgment.”

She is exactly the kind of individual we want to attract.”
Ms. Shattuck rejoins a team of professionals who previously worked together at Shattuck Hammond Partners, where she was a founder. After Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. acquired Shattuck Hammond Partners in 2007, she served as a Managing Director.
“I’m delighted to be at H2C working with many of my former colleagues. By sharing our knowledge of the healthcare industry, we can provide a stronger platform for serving healthcare clients. I hope to utilize the many contacts I’ve developed in the industry to help secure business for H2C,” Ms. Shattuck said.
Ms. Shattuck has counseled many of the most prestigious multi-hospital systems, academic medical centers, healthcare service companies, physician group practices and managed care companies in the United States. These include Health Net, George Washington University Hospital, the Mayo Foundation, and University Physicians, Arizona. She has also been a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars and was a member of the Health Executives Network.
She began her career as a Bond Rating Analyst at Standard & Poor’s corporation for healthcare and educational credits. She later served as Vice President and Managing Coordinator for the Health Care Finance Group of Goldman Sachs & Co., prior to co-founding Cain Brothers, Shattuck & Company in 1983.
