Tom Morsch Managing Director, Chicago
Mr. Morsch has served as a trusted advisor to a broad range of prominent organizations, with a particular focus on public private partnerships and alternative financing strategies.
Tom joined H2C Securities Inc. in 2022 as a Managing Director focused on expanding the firm’s real estate capabilities in infrastructure and public private partnerships (P3) for higher education, government, and not-for-profit institutions. Prior to joining H2C, Tom co-led the alternative finance and P3 practice at Public Financial Management and Scott Balice Strategies which was subsequently acquired by PFM. Tom has advised sponsors on more than $10 billion in large infrastructure transactions in the US and globally in the transportation, higher education, hospitality, energy, and gaming sectors. Recent client engagements include representing a number of large universities on student housing, mixed-use development, and energy P3s as well as M&A and restructuring in the higher education sector.
Previously, Tom worked with the Marsh & McLennan Companies as the Midwest real estate practice leader and a senior advisor to Oliver Wyman. Tom began his career working in a variety of positions for the Governor of Illinois including 6 years as the Executive Director and CEO of the Illinois Tollway system where he oversaw the reconstruction of the Tollway system and the development of a new toll road, I- 355 in suburban Chicago.
Tom currently serves on the Board of the Illinois Housing Development Authority and has been a board member of the Metropolitan Planning Council (Chicago), Community Partners for Affordable Housing, and was elected for three terms to the City Council of the City of Lake Forest, IL and appointed a member of the City of Lake Forest Plan Commission. Tom earned his BA from Beloit College (WI).
