Mr. Aro has almost 15 years of experience providing capital advisory services to a broad range of health care and higher education institutions. He has helped prominent institutions across the country in developing and implementing capital formation strategies. Mr. Aro has a strong background in structuring and executing complex debt and derivatives products, having advised on over $10 billion of derivative transactions including execution, terminations and amendments.

In his role at H2C, Mr. Aro advises healthcare organizations, academic medical centers and higher education institutions on capital strategy, risk assessment, and the execution of financing transactions that support their short-term objectives and long-term strategies.

Prior to joining H2C, Mr. Aro served as a Director for Ponder & Co. Initially tasked with helping to bolster Ponder’s derivatives capabilities, Mr. Aro transitioned into the financial advisory role and led over $10 billion of financings for his clients, with products ranging from traditional fixed rate debt to various variable rate debt alternatives.

Mr. Aro received his undergraduate degree in economics and finance from Vanderbilt University, where he was a recipient of the Ingram Scholarship. He is a registered municipal advisor.
