Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC Congratulates Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation on its Award for Excellence in Office Development

NEW YORK — Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC (“H2C”) would like to congratulate Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation (“Ciminelli”) and Seavest Healthcare Properties, LLC as the 2016 winner of the Excellence in Office Development Award from the Urban Land Institute New York (ULI) for their project, Conventus, a 350,000 square foot medical office and research facility located in Buffalo, New York.

H2C advised Ciminelli in 2013 in a process to structure a joint venture and identify an equity partner for Conventus.  With the project now at stabilization, H2C is arranging the permanent financing on behalf of the joint venture.

Conventus serves as the northern gateway to the fast-growing Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC), which is home to Kaleida Health and several other healthcare institutions.  Conventus is connected via second-floor sky bridges to the existing UB Research Institute on Addictions, as well as two buildings now in development: Kaleida’s John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, which will replace its existing Women and Children’s Hospital, and the new University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the largest medical education facility under construction in the U.S. today.  The state-of-the-art, seven-story medical office building features a glass curtain wall and insulated metal panel façade, the highest quality Class A medical office finishes and design features, and has earned the prestigious designation of LEED Platinum for Core and Shell from the United States Green Building Council.  The project is also transit oriented as it will be connected to NFTA Metro Rail System through a sky bridge to the medical school.  Conventus’ numerous positive impacts to the community were among the many reasons for its selection as the winner among fellow nominees, such as 4 World Trade Center and 7 Bryant Park, both in Manhattan.
